Trooper Tony,

I too attended your funeral as a member of the Oregon State Police Honor Guard. I have attended many funerals but yours I will remember. It was hard seeing your patrol vehicle, and your family. An amazing ceremony for an amazing man! I know you are proud of your son. I hope he has the opportunity to be part of WSP, if that is what he wants. Thank you for your service. Rest easy, my friend...

Trooper,
I was born and raised in the Buckley-Enumclaw area of WA state. After the military, I am now a NJ State Park Police Officer. I feel the pain that your department, your family and your friends are experiencing. We put our boots on the same way, everyday. Because you were never able to take them off, my dept. and I honor you. Fair seas and following winds brother-

Officer K. Mott
New Jersey State Park Police

I attended your funeral as a member of an honor guard, and had the honor of escorting your family during the memorial. I also escorted your patrol car as it drove along the final stage of the procession in your honor. As a member of the honor guard, I know that I am supposed to keep a strong face, but it wasn't possible to keep a dry eye as I saw the citizens, law enforcement, fire fighters, and everyone else who came to pay you their respects. Even more moving was seeing your family, and the obvious love and pride they have in you. Speaking with your coworkers, it is obvious that you were the best of the best. I do not know how many people attended your memorial, but the Showare Center in Kent was full, some who knew you, and some like myself that wishes I could have known you. Thank you for your service. Thank you for giving the world your son, who hopes to be a state trooper and follow in your footsteps. I pray that your family, friends, and coworkers might be comforted in this time of loss, and that we in the law enforcement community can carry on the torch that you so courageously lit the way with.
