Reflections for Trooper Tony Vian Radulescu

I am a private citizen living in Port Orchard, Wa. This trooper pulled me over just outside of where he lived. By the end of the conversation, even tho he ticketed me (I also received another ticket an hour before, so I was pretty upset), by the end of the conversation I didn't want him to leave. I wanted to keep chatting. He was a really nice guy. I was also only 23 years old and naturally scared of any police officer, but the way he conducted himself was what i believe to be the ideal conduct of a police officer.

Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we have suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace through such incidents. May family & friends feel the presence of the "God of All Comfort" as they endure the distressing days ahead. I join them in their agonizing grief & remember them in my prayers.

Another senseless tragedy
Another day of grief,
Another day of praying
To help us find relief.

Relief from bitter anguish
Relief from rage so great,
Relief from lenient justice
Which continues to seal our fate.

Relief from heartache’s torment
As we continue on,
Oh, the awesome loss of brotherhood
Now that you are gone.

Though our hearts are deeply broken
And our tears forever flow,
There’s a comforting assurance
That now with God you go.

We know that you are welcome
Now at Heaven’s gate,
While meeting brothers & sisters
Who also met such fate.

The family of Law Enforcement
Knows no distance here or there,
And we recall in comfort
You await us there.

Always smiling, always willing to give of himself. A remarkable man and a wonderful trooper. He had friends in every part of the Washington State Patrol.

As many of you probably now, the week of May 14th is to honor fallen officers, during this memorial week. I am a high school senior taking the Law Enforcement class at my school, we have been assigned to make a poster for a fallen officer, after doing some research I have decided to make my poster on Officer Radulescu. I will do to the best of my ability to make sure this poster honors Officer Radulescu. I just wanted to let the family and friends know, that he will never be forgotten.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

Because of the great love God has for you and all mankind He gave his son who willingly for the great joy that was set befor him, endured the cross, despising the shame and is set down at the right hand of the Father forever on our behalf, having paid for all our sin once for ever and for all, And because that same love was resident in yhe heart of your friend and fellow former countryman who invited you to hear the Gospel one Easter morning 2 years ago this Easter, I, and each of your family, friends, and fellow law enforcement brothers and sisters have the unique joy of living and enjoying your fellowship for ever with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I look forward to meeting you in heaven Tony and am forever thankful to my God who loves me and gave Himself for me. See you soon my brother.
