Reflections for Sergeant Ruben Howard Thomas, III

how many more prison guards will die before the "life without parole" killers get left behind cages so officers dont assume risk when the prisoners have no risk whatsoever....mandatory death sentences are great for these guys except for the 20 plus years they will spend on death row. senseless that good men are placed in harms way for people like this to kill again. I weep for his daughter and pray for swift prison justice. RIP brother Ruben

Dear Sgt. Thomas,
I didn't know you at all but I guess we are related. But that doesn't matter at all. Who you were in this mortal life is known to the rest of us in all the tearful voices of those who did know you. Their testiments of your kindness and goodness says it all. God bless you for the person you were to so many. May you rest in Gods's kingdom and know that you will be remembered for a job well done.

To the family and friend of Sergeant Thomas,
It is so hard to lose a member of our Correctional Family. It is even harder when they are so young, with so much left to give, so much yet to see! I am truly sorry for the loss of Sergeant Thomas, and for the pain this has caused his family and friends. Know that you are in the hearts, and prayers of many! Rub, you will be missed so much. I can not even begin to tell you how much you were loved. What you provided to Davie is so much more than a cousins love, in both of your hearts you were brothers. We always teased Davie that he had a guardian angel watching out for him, now he has a new one. Just know that your family is here watching over your babies, and you keep watch over all of us. You will be missed so much. Your laugh, your smile. Rest in peace.
