Tony, It has all been said in these last several pages as I read them but it can not be said enough. You were a great kid with a awesome attitude toward life and the job. The year + I worked with you in Glendale I never saw you in a negative mood and were always happy to be there. It instilled in me a positive view when some of us with a few years on tend to get negative from time to time. May you rest in peace brother and know that you will never be forgotten. Even though I have moved on to another department out of state I will always feel apart of GPD and when my fellow officers and friends called me that morning to tell me what happened my heart sunk. God speed and rest in peace Tony and to the Holly family my thoughts and prayers are with you. You will never be forgotten.

I just wanted to say that I think the car wash was a great idea... Danny's did a great job, and at least for now, every time I see how clean my truck is and smell the car freshener/perfume inside as I'm driving, I remember why these things are like that...

I have a lot of respect for all our men and women in uniform, police and military and firefighters... thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Because of our busy lives, w+e as citizens very seldom take the time to stop and thank police officers for the great committment to the comunity. This is something that we should be doing at every opportunity. It takes a very special person to step up and assume this great responsibility of caring and protecting others. It is because of you and others like you that my kids can go out to play and know that our neighborhood is protected by such team of people. I can never forget that you gave yourself to protect us. My family thanks you and you will never be forgotten! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Officer Holly,
I read this once and it seems to fit all of us that do this job. Thank you for all you have done. May god bless you family and friends.

“REMEMBER ME”
Law enforcement officers are, indeed, a special breed of people. Ask anyone on the street and they will tell you that they would not have our jobs for anything in the world. It takes something special to do what we do and at the same time be able to even contemplate retirement. We try to be optimists. Unfortunately, there are a few of us who will never make that date with retirement. By the very nature of our job, we are at risk everyday of losing our lives, either at the hand of some deranged individual or in some other situation that we, by virtue of our occupation, may be unable to avoid. Some people have recognized the hazardous duties we involve ourselves in, the risks we take, and the pride we take in accomplishing that job. There is National Law Enforcement Week, dedicated to us who gladly accept the responsibility of protecting the citizens in our respective jurisdictions. National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Day is dedicated to those who gave their lives in the line of duty. These are but two examples of remembrances specifically for law enforcement personnel. Remembrances that come but once a year. We should remind fellow officers of another type of remembrance, one that will last a lifetime. Sooner or later, a doctor will pronounce us dead. It is inevitable. Regardless of whatever happens, death is the end we will all have to face.

Thank You Brother, Thank You. Rest In Peace.

Time to Learn

The hand is cold
that once held mine.
I can't believe you've really left this world behind,
I can't wait,
I can't hope,
I'll get over this in time.

"It takes time to learn
when someone's gone for good,
their not coming back
like you wish they would.
In the empty hours,
when you miss them so,
then it's time to learn
to let them go."

Your last hours
we never knew,
we never had the chance
to say goodbye to you,
Words unsaid and things undone,
we just begun
and now we'll never see them through.

My heart and prayers go out to you during this painful time, I am still learning that it takes time, maybe the rest of our lives, God Bless you and may He give you comfort
