Reflections for Police Officer Anthony Jon Holly

Thinking of you and your family and loved ones. Thank you for the job you did and thank you for your ultimate sacrifice. I am so sorry you had to go. God bless you and your family.

There is a love that is most unconditional and sometimes, can be difficult to attain. It is that of agape. It is even more than phileos--brotherly love. Agape can overcome broken-spirited tears.
When a legacy of love is shared by the hearts of so many, (even in the midst of terrible tragedy and grief), and remembered year after year what a magnetic light Tony brought to this world, doing what he loved, one cannot help but think that in his honor, in some way, because of his example too, we can let our light shine for the 24 young years he was with this world, making a difference. Take care of each other, your families, your friends, etc. I believe this would make him smile from the heavens, because he embodied the legacy of agape in everything he did.

Tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of the day we lost you. Five years... seems like so long at times... other times it seems like just yesterday I touched you. We miss and love you so much, Tony.

Today Officer Brad Jones was laid to rest in the company of his family, friends and law enforcement family. I pray you greeted him in the early hours of October 29th with your warm smile and open arms. We ask that God watch over his family and friends, just as so many have asked the same for us.
We miss you so much, Tony. I long for the day when I will see you again. I love you, babe.

I was pretty new to Glendale when Tony was killed. I had only been on my own for about four months. I had lateraled in from California after six years as a cop there. Tony really did not know me but every single time we ran into each other at the station or on a call, Tony always had a big smile and a "Hey buddy" for me. That is what I will always remember. R.I.P. Hey Bad Boy, still missing you on this the third anniversary of giving you back to God. Remembering the day we walked thru the thick, swirling fog, cresting the top of that hill, acting like a crew of cowboy lawmen just blowing into town to take care of business; the day you guys became the Bad Boys..... Never a day when I don't miss you, today more than others.... Save a place for me.
Love you.

RIP brother - God Bless you. We will never forget this day, it changed many of our lives, each in different ways. I have shared many good times with your family, they have become like my own, my husband and kids have also gained great friendships with your family, and for that I am so thankful. We continue to try and live by your example. We shed tears for our great loss today but know that you are in Heaven rejoicing and watching over us. Thank you Tony.
