To the family of SA Hicks -

It is not the way Sam Died that made him a hero, it was the quiet, selfless and unsung acts he did each day and the manner in which he lived his life that define who he was and what mattered to him.

Godspeed Sam, my thought and prayers are with your family.

You served your Country; you are being served in heaven. Thank you for your heroism and your courage. It is by God's good grace that others have not shared your fate. It is now by God's good grace that you will watch over all of us who stand a watch and protect the liberties for which you gave the ultimate sacrifice. My prayers go to your family and friends who will miss you until we all cross the bridge and are reunited.

A TERRIBLE TRAGEDY , MORE SO AT THIS TIME The HOLIDAY SEASON WHEN WE SHOULD ALL BE SO HAPPY , SPENDING TIMES WITH OUR FAMILIES... REST IN PEACE BROTHER... GOD SPEED

I see the countless Christmas trees
Around the world below,
With tiny lights like heaven's stars
Reflecting in the snow.

The sight is so spectacular please wipe away that tear
for I am spending CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS CHRIST this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
but the sound of music can't compare with the CHRISTMAS CHOIR up here.I have no words to tell you of the JOY their voices bring for it is beyond description to HEAR THE ANGELS SING

The Policeman's Last Roll Call A Policeman stood and faced his God, which always comes to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now Policeman, how shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To my church, have you always been true?" The Policeman squared his shouldersand said, "No Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a Saint. I've had to work most Sundays, and at times my talk was rough, and sometimes I've been violent, because the streets are awfully tough. But I never took a penny that wasn't mine to keep, though I've worked a lot of overtime when the bills just got to steep. And I never passed a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept many unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place among the people here, they never wanted me around, except to calm their fear. If you got a place for me Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had to much, but if you don't, I'll understand." There was silence all around the throne where the Saintshad often trod. As the Policeman waited quietly, for the judgment of his God. "Step forward now Policeman, you've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets..........YOU'VE DONE YOUR TIME IN HELL". (Anonymous Author)

Rest Now S/A Hicks, We'll take it from here......
