My condolences go out to Sam, his family and friends. It's not easy losing a brother in arms, but he is in a better place now. His spirit will forever be with us. Sam is looking down, expecting his love one's to live life to the fullest, making the right decisions, and taking care of family. Sam was in my Academy class. I remember Sam as a true professional and everyone should bask in the moments that were spent with Sam. Rest in Peace.

The entire law enforcement community has suffered a great losss with the passing of Sam Hicks. Aside from being a great cop, he was an even better person. Sam, you will be missed. Heaven is a better place now that you're there. My thoughts and prayers go out to Sam's family.
