Sam was a great friend to all who knew him and cherished by his closest friends and family. He was kind to all and laughed often. It is ashame that this country will be left without a person with the character strength he possessed. My deepest condolences to Sam's wife and son, parents and siblings. I cannot believe that you are gone Sam. You were a great cop and to say I wish you would of stayed with the city is an understatement. For 5 yrs you worked the toughest streets in Baltimore and not a scratch. I still remember you getting into a fight with that guy off of Druid Hill. I never thought this would be the way I would be saying hello again. I hope you look down on us and smile because I know all of us are crying inside. God bless you and your family.
