Deputy Sheriff Brian Mills was killed in a single-car crash while he was responding to a 911 hang-up call.
During the response, his cruiser veered off of Platt Springs Road approximately three miles from S.C. 6 and flipped over several times.
Deputy Mills had been a military police officer for approximately five years and had served with the Lexington County Sheriff's Department for eight months. He is survived by his wife and son.

You don’t forget the good ones in your life and fail to realize how special they were. I can only hope wherever Becky and Trevor may be………that Brian is not far away.
