I respectfully ask that you DENY PAROLE to Bruce Lorick, inmate #81A2502. This inmate was responsible for the murder of Officer Joseph Keegan of the New York City Police Department on June 19, 1980.

Officer Keegan, a member of NYPD's Transit District #1, was patrolling the Columbus Circle subway station when he observed a fare evader. When he attempted to arrest the suspect, inmate #81A2502, a struggle ensued. Inmate 381A2502 gained control of Officer Keegan's handgun and shot him in the head.

Inmate #81A2502 was arrested in Central Park later in the day during a massive manhunt. He was later convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

Officer Keegan was assigned to Transit District 1 and had served with the New York City Transit Police Department for 15 years. He was survived by his fiancée, daughter, mother, two brothers, and two sisters.

As a concerned citizen and in the interest of public safety, I again respectfully ask that you DENY PAROLE to inmate #81A2502. Justice demands that he be made to spend every remaining day of his FULL SENTENCE in prison.
