Went and visited dad yesterday on the 26th anniversary of his death and told him about the new words his granddaughter has been learning including papaw and how she points at dad’s picture by his folded flag from the funeral when she says this new word. I can’t wait to take her with me and tell her about her papaw and explain he died helping someone and how proud of him we are and explain to her that’s the same blood that flows through her and myself as I’ve gotten a tremendous amount strength and courage and pride from this as will she. I appreciate the posts from everyone especially the men who served with my father. They mean more to me than you could imagine. God bless you all and God Bless America.
