Officer Hilton was killed when he fell from a truck while returning from a fire. The truck made a sharp turn at the intersection of St. John and DeSiard, causing Officer Hilton to lose his grip. His head struck the pavement, causing fatal injuries.

Officer Hilton had been with the agency for six years.

Thank you for your service to our great of Louisiana. You nor your service will be forgotten. Time does not erase nor fill the void of the loss of loved ones. When teaching I would always speak of "fair weather " friends and "true blue" friends. Explaining that they (my students) could only truly count on those friends that were "true blue". Sir you were a "true blue" friend to all.....
