John J. McDonough

Patrolman John McDonough died from injuries sustained two days earlier when he was kicked in the stomach while arresting a drunk and disorderly man in the city's North Side.

Patrolman McDonough collapsed after taking the man to the Central Station. He was taken to Homeopathic Hospital and then transferred to South Side Hospital to undergo an operation. He died as a result of his injuries on September 29th, 1913.

Patrolman McDonough had served with the Pittsburgh Police Department for almost 14 years. He was survived by his wife of three weeks.
