Willie A. Shingler

Game Warden Willie Shingler drowned after his 14-foot patrol boat capsized in the Yazoo River, near Vicksburg. He was patrolling for wildlife violations at the time.

His body wasn't recovered until the following day.

Warden Shingler had served with the agency for two years. He was survived by his wife and two children.
