Hard to believe it was 48 years ago. Although I frequently think of Bob, I just never thought of visiting the computer to say " hello " to my old friend. We first met in kindergarten at P.S. 51 school on Hertel Ave. in Buffalo. I lived on Austin St., while Bobby and his family lived on Tonawanda St. I was within one block of Bobby when his life was ended. I was at a service station on Skillen and Military Rd. The horrible event with Bobby was at the rear of a saloon on Military Rd where Kenmore Ave. dead ends into it. I never heard any shots but I remember the police cars at that location. I didn't know at the time Bobby was involved but knew it was bad as I realized a police car transported someone to the hospital in a squad car. Bobby was probably the nicest all around person I had ever known. He was the reflection of his family also, who like Bob were just the absolute best of human kind. Bobby was friendly, funny, a true and genuine friend, husband and father. May God continue to bless the Arnold family.
