Henry Schwartz

Patrolman Henry Schwartz was shot and killed while investigating the sounds gunfire.

While on his post, his attention was attracted to the cellar of a premise at 196 First Avenue by a pistol shot. Patrolman Schwartz entered the cellar and was shot by an unknown person. Patrolman Schwartz was shot twice, once in the left breast and once in the abdomen.

Patrolman Schwartz was removed to Bellevue Hospital where he died the next day from his wounds.

Patrolman Schwartz was assigned to the 15th Precinct
