Words can't express the sorrow my husband and I feel for the loss of Chief Maloney. My husband was a Deputy Sheriff (Investigator) for 33 years. I worked CSI. In 1993, one of our officers, and a good friend, was murdered. This case has not been solved. The devastation to so many can't be measured. Our prayers are with everyone involved. RIP Chief.

My deepest condolences to Chief Maloney’s family, and the Greenland Police Department.
I also want to wish a quick recovery to the other officers wounded Thursday night and thank them for their service.
This is so tragic, these men put their lives on the line for us every day. In an area like the seacoast they're not just police officers, they're our neighbors, friends, people we see every day at the store, at the gas station, at our kid's athletic contests, doing the everyday things we all do. But now due to this senseless act, a good man leaves us too soon, a wife is without her husband, children without their father. A community grieves, not just Greenland where he served so well, but all of us grieve for the loss of one of us.
