Each day you put your uniform on to perform a duty. A duty that can never be understood by the norm. You protected ordinary citizens from the evil dwellers that wreck schools, communities and cause extreme danger to the citizens that obeyed the laws that you enforced. This job is done by hero's, people that want to live within the freedoms of the United States of America. We don't ask for the title of hero, it is given to us for doing what we do! I give you a silent salute, hero Maloney! Your watch is now over...may you rest in peace! God Bless You!

JUST AS I GOT HOME FROM COURT, I SAT DOWN TO WATCH THE RED SOX HOME OPENER WITH TWO OF MY DAUGHTERS. EXCITED AS WE COULD BE TO SEE THE OPENING CEREMONIES WE WERE TAKEN BACK WHEN THEY HAD A MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR CHIEF MALONEY'S DEPARTMENT AND A STATE TROOPER. THEY ASKED WHAT WAS WRONG. I EXPLAINED THAT SOME POLICE OFFICERS WERE KILLED AND THEY WERE SHOWING THEIR RESPECT WITH A MOMENT OF SILENCE. I PRAY FOR CHIEF MALONEY'S FAMILY AND ASK THAT GOD WILL COMFORT THEM THROUGH THIS TIME.

Another tragic example of a man serving & protecting his community for twenty-six years, gets ready to wind down and enjoy life with his wife and family, and gets cut short. May you walk with God and our thoughts and prayers are with you while your on your journey as well as with your family. Thanks for everything you've done Chief Maloney for making your community safe for all those years.

Chief Maloney,
Thank you for your dedication to serving and protecting the citizens of your community. You could have chosen to ride out the last 8 days on easy street, but you heroically chose to join the men and women of your police deparment to uphold the law. Although we never met, that simple fact that unselfishly served the citizens of Greenland, NH. speaks volumes about your character. Rest easy sir, we've got the watch. You and your family will always have a special place in my heart. God bless you as you walk a new beat in heaven.
