My younger brother is a police officer. As I read this story, I could only imagine what getting "that call" is like. I pray for the family this young man left behind. As I read the comments from other officers that they would watch over your family and "take the watch", I could not stop the tears streaming down my cheeks. May others around you truly "take the watch" and care for the precious family that you left behind ...

As a former Ogden (R) Police Officer 1988-1991, my heart and prayers go out to Agent Francom's wife, children, and family. Agent Francom you have put your life on the line for this community and its people. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. You will be remembered and not forgotten.

In the quite still moments of the night you make inner commitments to family, community, others and then yourself. As an officer their safety comes first, you hope that the promise made to defend at all cost never comes. But when it does you act with firm resolve. It is your life, given to save others unknown. To the family all solace can come, but time will only bring comfort of the missing one. Thank you for your sacrafice, face each day with his courage.

I read the news article on KSL yesterday. I came across it again today.

I'm sitting at my desk at work reading these reflections, and thinking about what has happened. I'm sitting here crying because this is a great loss to the world.

I have a great amount of respect for the men and woman that protect and serve this country. I just wanted to say thank you.

Thank you to Officer Francom's family. Thank you to Officer Francom. And to all others that protect and serve. Thank you for putting others first, and you second. Thank you to the families of these men and woman because you support them in protecting others. It takes great strength to be the person to stand up to fight evil. And it takes great strength to be the person waiting at home for that person knowing they may never return.

This breaks my heart.

I appreciate all of you out there. My thoughts are with all of you.
