Reflections for Police Officer Robert Allen Lasso

May Officer Lasso rest in peace and may God watch over his family.

Rest in Peace, My Brother. Your courage, commitment, service and sacrifice shall not be forgotten.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

A note of sympathy to let you know that no words of sympathy may ease the loss you bare
Perhaps you may find comfort in knowing others care

At about 7:30 last night I received a text message asking if I knew any Freemansburg Police Officers. A few minutes later, I received another text message asking if I had heard about the Freemansburg Officer who had been shot. As I was trying to write them back, the phone rang and it was my wife. She asked me if I remembered Frankie's dad and before she could finish her sentence, it hit me, it was you. I couldn't believe it. We didn't know each other well, but whether we were picking our kids up from daycare or hanging out at a birthday party, I cannot remember a time when you didn't have a smile on your face. My heartfelt prayers go out to your family and the Freemansburg Police Department, especially to Jen, Franky, and Rosie. You have made the ultimate sacrifice. Jen, if there is anything we can do, even if you need someone to watch the kids for a few minutes, please do not hesitate to call.

Rest in Peace my brother.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Lasso and Hawk families. May you find comfort in each other at this difficult time. Robert was a hero and wonderful guy. He always made us laugh at Owen's baseball games. May his wife, children, families and friends find comfort in the memories of him. Rest in peace Robert!
