To Sergeant Chapin's Family:
I am so very sorry of your loss. I too know how it feels for a husband to be taken away so quickly... Mere words aren't enough to even begin to ease the pain. Please stick together as a family, all members will be dealing with this in their own different way. As long as you stick together there is nothing you cannot do. Again I am sorry for this tragedy to have to happen in your family.God Bless

To Sergeant Chapin:
Thank you for your service and for keeping us safe on those all too mean streets of our country. Things like this happening makes me not so proud to be a human being.
Your job now and forever is to keep a watch on your family. They need your presence to be felt around them always.
I am so very sorry that this had to happen to you...
I salute you, Sir. GodSpeed.

If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't.....I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in hell."
