Reflections for Sergeant James Timothy Chapin

RIP SIR

JOHN

April 2, 2011

Tim I remember us talking on Tuesday once again about those Lady Vols dropping the ball by not making it to the final four this year and wondering where was the leadership on the team? Well you showed leadership today by making the ultimate sacrifice by being on scene with your men in the field and not sitting behind the desk waiting for the day to end. Tuesday was our last conversation but it was good as always and I will miss seeing you and talking every morning about sporting events...you will truly be missed but know with your kindness you will never be forgotten!!! RIP my Brother you perforrmed your duties protecting our citizens today...

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

PRAYER TO
SAINT MICHAEL
THE ARCHANGEL
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen..

Thoughts and prayers to your family and co-workers during this difficult time.

Last night I lay in bed
My gut sick and sour
pounding in my head
tragedy struck this hour

Knowing something was not right
the void of not knowing
kept awake half the night
while red lights were glowing

While the world lay sleeping
we are alert and awake
vigilant guard he was keeping
making no mistake

All of us connected by fate
a brother now laid
forever to rest on this date
his oath and promise be paid

St Michael Protect Us ...

For we fight the good fight
leaving our families behind
kissing them good night
going back to the grind

Put ourselves in harms way
so that others may rest
knowing we keep evil at bay
being the best of the best

The blue line has been stained
with the blood of a brother
all feel sorrow and are pained
all feel the loss of another

St Michael Protect Us ...

Hunt them down we yell
none will take rest
find the evil from hell
desecrated our crest

Black band across shield
blue blood ties us together
great strength we do wield
stay strong in bad weather

WHEN ONE FALLS, WE ALL FALL ...
St. Michael Protect ALL of US ...
