To the family, friends, and brothers/sisters by virtue of the badge of Deputy Detwiler:

Constantly I lift you up in prayer as you face this tragedy. And yet I know you are not left to walk alone. Psalm 91 reminds us that in the midst of all, we are His. He will not forget us nor will He sacrifice us. We are provided for in all things and can trust in Him even on our darkest days.

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge;

We can not avoid the pains of this world; but, our hope and our salvation shelter us.

Deputy Detwiler, you were carried in the arms of angels beyond where even eagles fly. Sir you are a hero today as you have been every day! I honor your service with my own.

May the peace which passes all human understanding be in your hearts and minds now and forever. Amen.

- And he appeared in the midst of them and they were frightened. And he said "Peace be with you". And again I say, "Peace be with you!"

Dearest Trish,
It has been a while I have seen you but as soon as I heard the news, my heart began to grieve for you and your children. Scott and I are praying for you and your family to be comforted from the Greatest Comforter, our mighty God! We love you and remember that in your darkest time, He will be there for you!

The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces. (Isaiah 25:8)

We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. (1 Thessalonians 4:14)

Deputy Detwiler, You have served your country and community with honor and courage. It saddens me and brings upon a feeling we could all live without when we lose a brother or a sister. You have served your time in hell, it is now your honor to walk the beat in Heaven. You will not be forgotten brother, we have the watch from here.
