No words can help the widow or children who have suffered this terrible loss, but our society has been enriched by this officer's actions in life and we owe him and his family a deep debt of gratitude. Thank God, that we have men like him.

RIP ofc. Jones. you made me smile even @ my lowest and laugh when I wanted to cry. you are forever missed. My heart goes to the Jones family for this will be the first xmas without your husband and father. Words can't say enough of the love Chris had for you, and joy the children gave him. Though he is not here in body he is forever here in thought and memories, and in spirit.

Thinking about you on the Eve of Thanksgiving...Philly PD and some of our local motor patrol guys stopped up to see Suz and the kids today and drop off some food...I know that kinda thing was never your style, but what an impressive sight...those guys are the best...tomorrow I'll be thankful that we are part of a profession that, for the most part, really takes care of each other...I still think about you everyday... miss you buddy!

To Chris and his loved ones:

Your memory will always be honored and revered. I hold your family in thought and prayer today and pray for their solace.

I read today that your Navy friend was your kidney recipient. Even in death, you led by example when you and your family made the magnificant gift of life by being an organ donor. My son Larry Lasater was killed in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 and was also an organ donor. This has been of great comfort to us. Larry also had a designated recipient for his kidney: a family friend who was a reserve officer in a neighboring agency so I felt a special connection when I read about Chris. During the trial of the men who murdered my son, we were supported by two recipients who attended the trial.

I am so sorry that Chris was robbed of his life at such a young age. I can see that he was an amazing man who is loved and missed by so many.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the service Chris gave to his community and the citizens of Pennsylvania, and the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on January 29, 2009.
