My husband Wendell and I send our deepest sympathy to the Jones family and to all Middletown Twp Officers and families. Wendell and I both grew up in Bucks County and graduated from Neshaminy in 1992. Wendell started his police career at Penndel Boro under Cheif Burke. We then moved to Reading PA when Wendell was hired by RPD. He has just celebrated his 10 year anniversary with the department. During the past 5 years we have lost 2 friends/fellow officers. We know all too well how hard it is for officers and their families to go through this grieving process together. We offer you our prayers of support, courage and strength. God Bless.

My husband and I were stopped on an on ramp to I-95 last Thursday just north of Philadelphia. While others were anxiously trying to turn around and find another way north, we waited after hearing that you were on your way home. As you passed by we silently prayed for you and your family, friends and fellow officers. We did not know you Chris, but we are all better because you were here. May your family find comfort and peace knowing there are so many who hold them in their thoughts and hearts.

The moment I spoke to my brother officers in Middletown I needed to be there. I needed to do what I could to help through a greiving process that will last forever. Thats what we do for each other. Thats what was done for me 13 years ago. So many people are great in their job, but it is the few that are also great people. Chris was that person and he paid the ultimate sacrafice. Now what do we do, we lost a great person, a brother officer, his wife lost a great husband and his children lost a great father. What do we do,is, be a great person ourselves. In a week, a month, a year, don't forget the ultimate sacrafice Chris paid. DONT FORGET!!!! When you walk out a door, hold it for the next person. When your driving down the road let that person change lanes. The small things you can do will make you a better person. My family and I wish the Middletown family and most of all the Jones family our sincere condolences in this time of such a great loss.

Officer Jones,

I had the chance meeting with you less than two months ago when you responded from the station when everyone else was tied up on other calls. From our brief encounter, I immediately recognized a great police officer. Thank you for the brief time helping me that day. Before I got out of your vehicle, your last words were, " Give me a call anytime you need a hand" Thanks, Officer Jones for being a fine example for those who follow. God Bless.
