Once again, as I learned in the media reports of this attrocity, a genuine servent of the people went out of her way, more than once, to go above and beyond the call of duty to help this family, who themselves are also the victims of the perpetrator. And once again, a good servent of us all has paid far too high a price. Once again, the good that we need has been taken from all of us far too soon. And yet again, adnausium, the evil is still comfortable, within our midst. Where we are all but certain that it will remain, for decades to come.

My heart and my prayers go out to the loved ones of Deputy Anne Jackson. I pray that Our Lord will somehow help her family and coworkers to cope with this, and somehow go on.

I pray also for the family of the murderer. As they are victims in this attrocity also. With the exception of the age of the perp, this is almost an identical description of a relative of mine. I can certainly sympathise with the needs and circumstances of mental illness. But superceeding that, I see the needs of decent society to be protected from the out of control.

To look into the eyes of the deputy pictured here, and to know that she was brutally murdered for trying to help, is almost too much for the mind to bear.

Yet one more pricelss deposit in the Eternal Bank of Heaven. Rest well, good Sister. Our Lord willing, I will get to thank you face to face some day. May God hold you in His loving arms.

Anne worked for me prior to joining the Skagit Sheriff's office. She was a full time "Wrangler" at a large resort in the Mt. Baker area outside of Bellingham Washington. She went to work at the S.O. as a Animal Control Officer and worked her way up to Deputy. She was a friend and a person with lots of love and a caring spirit. Her sense of humor was wonderful and it was an honor to have known her, to have such a loss at such a young age is just very hard to deal with, and our hearts go out to her family and fellow Deputies and law enforcement Officials as they work through this difficult time. Gods Blessings to each of them and give them strength to deal with this tremendous loss.

I am in absolute shock that Anne has been taken from us.

She used to work as a horse wrangler at Black Mountain Ranch where I grew up. She was definitely the primary influence for my horseback riding, giving me personal lessons upon request, caring for my horse, just making sure that everything with the horses ran smoothly.

I wasn't aware that she was working as a sheriff but they have obviously lost an unbelievable member of their team.

My deepest condolesences to Anne's loved ones and members of the Skagit County Sheriff Department - Anne is in a better place now!

God's Police Department has received another great officer into their ranks in heaven. Sister Anne know that you are among the best of the best and that those you have left behind will never forget you or your sacrifice. Know also your family will be taken care of and all your brothers and sisters will cherish you forever. As you now get acquainted with your new partners and with a personal relationship with Christ we know you will be another outstanding officer in His kingdom. All of god's children who you served so gallantly here on earth will miss you. Rest in peace.
