Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Anne Marie Jackson

We are all still reeling from the crazy, unpredictable events that went down
yesterday. You, of all people, who empathized with this Mom trying to
get help for her mentally disturbed son, ended up being a victim by his hand.
What a tragedy to have you gone from this earth forever while he sits in jail with a 5 million dollar price tag on his head. 100 officers are working this case to try to figure out what happened and why, but we may never understand what is now so incomprehensible. Things are usually pretty quiet in Alger. Most Washingtonians have probably never even heard of it and yet evil broke thru the silence yesterday afternoon. Why is our society always so
concerned about the perpetrator's rights and not the protection of the citizens? His Mom is devastated by your loss and the other 5 lives that were
taken and the 4 who were wounded. May God comfort her and help her know
she did her best to try to get help for her son. She would gladly trade places with you and the others. Thanks for your service, Anne and we all are sorry to lose you in such a violent way. You deserved so much better and we will remember your sacrifice for many years to come. You made a difference while you were here among us.

Deputy Jackson,
I'm truly sadden and disgusted on hearing about the events of your untimely death. Unfortunately we live in a world of extremely selfish and self serving individuals who we as police officers have vowed to protect and serve. You've completed your assignment and did a wonderful job promoting peace in your community. THANKS FOR A JOB WELL DONE. Rest now Deputy Jackson, we'll take your shift from here.
