My deepest sympathy to the Tuvera Family for their loss. There are no magic words I can offer to help fix your broken hearts or ease your pain. All I can say is that Bryan is a true hero and heroes never die, he will never be forgotten. I ask that he continues to keep watch over his loved ones and close friends and those officers still out guarding over the thin blue line.

Bryan,

I didn't know you very well at all, but every time I saw you, you were one of the most professional officers I've worked with. I'll pray for your wife and family. We all know you're up there with your father in a better place. You will be missed and have left your mark on the world and your department, you'll never be forgotten.

Rest in peace.

I met Bryan Tuvera at Nationwide Papers were he worked part time in our computer room. He often talked about becoming a Policeman. He was attending school at the time. He then joined the police acadamy, he said it was alot of hard work and took alot of dedication, but he stuck through it.

We were all so proud of him when he made it on the force, a dream came true for him. I remember when he brought in his first uniform to show all of us at the Paper Company. We all hugged him goodbye as he was off on his new adventure as a San Francisco Cop, one that he dreamed of for so long.

Bryan, may you rest in peace and know that you have touched the lives of many. I am glad that I was a part of your life, even if it was for such a short time.

God Bless,

This week has been very sad and violent in the state of California. Four police officers have been shot and 2 killed. Two officers were shot in Long Beach, California but, so far are still alive. All law enforcement mourns wherever an officer is killed. Rest in peace.

It is not how these officers died that made them heroes, it is how they lived. - National Law Enforcement Memorial

As a security officer at the mall near taraval I had the
honor of meeting Officer Bryan Tuvera and dealing with him on a few occasions. Although I didn't know him all that well from the few times that I did meet him, I really could see just what a great person he was. As the son of another SFPD officer of 28 years, I spent my whole life around cops, it's is a very large family. There is lots of rivalries, problems, drama, and people, but there is a brotherhood like no other.

When I first met Officer Tuvera, for some petty call for shoplifting, tresspasser or something, he gave me the universal cop look. That look every cop gives to security when we just caused them to go to a boring run that would require a report. While in the office as Officer Tuvera's partner would be watching the suspect or getting information from us, you saw Bryan Tuvera with his head leaning towards his radio, as he would wait for that Code 3 call to come over the radio and free him from our call, any call that would get him into the action, to help someone. Tuvera was always there to help someone. As Tuvera would stop by the mall to pick up a fresh cup of Starbucks, or handle a run, and s was often the case just to cruise by, you always knew that no matter how much of a hard time you gave him, he would be there to help.

I will never forget one night when we had about twelve SFPD officers and a sarge, looking for some intoxicated trouble makers. Everyone police and security, was in a jog or walking full steam around the area trying to find these guys it was crazy. Then as I was hustling around out of the corner of my eye, I see a person totally still. As I stopped and looked, I saw it was Officer Tuvera, leaning on the hood of his squad car, looking closely at everyone, his head leaing towards his radio, and of course, a venti cup of strabucks coffee in his hand.

When I walked up to him to of course bust his chops, he smiled and said " Hey man, I'm the back-up, I watching everyone back, best to do that from one spot where I can see everyone" And sure enough from where he was you could see every person, so Officer Tuvera was there watching eveyones back.

There is a saying at the police memorial in Washington D.C. "WE NEVER WALK ALONE". And I know, from pictures of from people, that Brian Tuvera had his Brother's of Blue, with him at all times, never was Officer Tuvera alone in his journey from our world, to heaven, where we all know his fallen brother's in blue were there to stay with him.

I can say that one day when I'm old enough and finally become a police officer that I will never walk alone. None of us ever wil walk alone because next to us will be officer Brian Tuvera, watching us, with a smile, sitting of his squad car in heaven, head leaning towards the radio, ready to help with the Code 3 call when it comes in, of course with a fresh cup of joe, in his hand.

I truly wish that had gotten the chance to know Officer Bryan Tuvera better, but I am glad that I got to know Officer Bryan Tuvera for what little time I did.

Rest in peace. You will be missed
