My wife and I were formerly owners of a card and comic book store in SSF. Bryan was one our customers since he was a young kid. We watched him grow into a very nice young man. He was always one of the most polite and pleasant kids and his father was also a collector. They were both wonderful people. They are both gone now. Our condolences go out to his mother, sister and wife as well as all of his many friends. We have all lost a very good young man.

Officer Bryan Tuvera was an excellent street cop. He understood the job and was very dedicated, yet he was also very

Bryan was one of the daily pleasures on the swing watch at Taraval Station. Always a kind word, always a smile, and always willing to help. I cannot express in words how much I will miss him. He was so 10/8 and he loved his job. I know that Taraval Station will never be the same without Bryan. Rest in peace Bryan, we will all meet again.

Cops Prayer Poem

THE OFFICER STOOD AND FACED HIS GOD,
WHICH MUST ALWAYS COME TO PASS.
HE HOPED HIS SHOES WERE SHINNING,
JUST AS BRIGHTLY AS HIS BRASS.

"STEP FORWARD NOW OFFICER,
HOW SHALL I DEAL WITH YOU?
HAVE YOU ALWAYS TURNED THE OTHER CHEEK?
TO MY CHURCH HAVE YOU BEEN TRUE?"

THE OFFICER SQUARED HIS SHOULDERS AND SAID,
"NO LORD, I GUESS I AINT,
BECAUSE THOSE OF US WHO CARRY BADGES
CAN'T ALWAYS BE A SAINT.

I'VE HAD TO WORK MOST SUNDAYS,
AND AT TIMES MY TALK WAS ROUGH,
AND SOMETIMES I'VE BEEN VIOLENT
BECAUSE THE STREETS ARE TOUGH.

BUT I NEVER TOOK A PENNY
THAT WASN'T MINE TO KEEP.
THOUGH I WORKED A LOT OF OVERTIME,
WHEN THE BILLS GOT TO STEEP.

AND I NEVER PASSED A CRY FOR HELP
THOUGH AT TIMES I SHOOK WITH FEAR.
AND SOMETIMES, GOD FORGIVE ME,
I'VE WEPT AN UNMANLY TEAR.

I KNOW I DON'T DESERVE A PLACE
AMONG THE PEOPLE HERE.
THEY NEVER WANTED ME AROUND
EXCEPT TO CALM THEIR FEAR.

IF YOU'VE A PLACE FOR ME HERE, LORD,
IT NEEDN'T BE SO GRAND.
I NEVER EXPECTED OR HAD TOO MUCH,
BUT IF YOU DON'T I'LL UNDERSTAND.

THERE WAS SILENCE ALL AROUND THE THRONE,
WHERE THE SAINTS OFTEN TROD.
AS THE OFFICER WAITED SILENTLY
FOR THE JUDGEMENT OF HIS GOD.

"STEP FORWARD NOW, OFFICER.
YOU'VE BORNE YOUR BURDENS WELL.
COME WALK A BEAT ON HEAVEN'S STREETS,
YOU'VE DONE YOUR TIME IN HELL."

~UNK.

I know that there is no way to describe the pain that you are feeling right now. I lost a good friend in the Line of Duty almost a year ago and I still have moments when I break down and cry. Something will happen and I want to call him to tell him all about it or I will drive by that place we ate lunch at once or responded to a call together. I don't know if it ever gets better, but do know that you are not alone. The entire law enforcement family and all the good citizens of our community are mourning with you.
