Reflections for Police Officer Gary Lee Michael, Jr.

My condolences to the family and friends of Police Officer Gary Michael. Losing a loved one is difficult. Please take comfort in Jesus words found at John 5:28,29 where he said that there would be a resurrection. Just think of the time when you will see your loved one again, in paradise conditions, here on earth. Once again, my condolences.

God, filled with mercy, dwelling in the heavens' heights,
bring proper rest beneath the wings of your Lord,
amid the ranks of the holy and the pure,
illuminating like the brilliance of the skies the soul of Gary Michael who went to his eternal place of rest.
May You who are the source of mercy shelter him beneath Your wings eternally,
and bind his soul among the living, that he may rest in peace. And let us say: Amen.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Officer Michael, as well as to the Clinton Police Department. I hope you can find peace knowing that Officer Michael is now watching over all of us.

As for the person who committed this terrible act, your time is coming. If you are lucky you will be caught and prosecuted. However you will end up in a much different place than Officer Michael, and it'll be very well deserved as it's only reserved for cowards like you.

RIP Officer Michael and thank you for your service.

Michael family and friends may God grant you all with a speedy healing.Officer Michael thank you for your service and for your ULTIMATE SACRIFICE. Another Officer taken away because of a coward who has no life and no care for another human being. I hope your return fire at least hit this person where the sun doesn't shine so he/she has constant pain. Take a seat from above and keep a watchful eye on your family and friends below and let your Brothers and Sisters in blue take the watch from here.

For Officer Gary Michael:

Indeed the law-officer on patrol faces death by a sudden and quick decision by any person wanted by the law, fleeing a very recent crime, departing from a violent domestic situation, or just harboring a deep-hatred for the police at-large.

Each of us that patrols stands the chance of becoming a target for the violent-types who make the on-the-spot decision to strike without warning - a tactic of the cowardly low-lives in our midst. Hardly, and despite the tactics-of- avoidance employed by the law-officer, do we stand a chance. Added is the constant criticism by news media and others that tend to tone-down our alertness as being singled out as a one who over-reactive.

We regret that Gary would be the next officer slain by a vicious wretch who felt the need to kill on the spot. Each of us that is experienced faces this threat more than occasionally. Our defense to be prepared, as Gary did, to fight for our lives without ever apologizing for merely wishing to remain alive. Indeed our military fighting people share this quest - for it is inherent in every living thing.

We pray for Gary's family, co-workers, friends and all who car about him. He is a hero beyond all description as he stands forth as a dedicated and a truly-recognized soldier-of-the-law.

We proudly and profoundly bear him a final salute with all the compassion that only a brother or sister of the badge can muster at this very moment. May God welcome him into the after-life and into the colony established for the true defenders of all mankind. He served us well.
