Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sergeant Gary Morales

Your work is done here on Earth - Heaven has called upon you today, leaving so many words left to say. But now it's too late, for your time has come, words unspoken; I am sure everybody has some. Regrets and wishes are probably there too, but lasting forever are memories of you.
There have been many times that we waved to each other, but we were there for each other in time of need. Now it's time for us to say Good-Bye, until we meet again in heaven to fly. Now go and Patrol the Heavens Above and Watch Below those you Love. Thank you for your service.

Sergeant Morales, thank you so much for your service. No amount of words can even possibly come close to doing your life justice, but because you did what you did, the world is a better place for it. You lived as a hero and will forever be remembered as one.

I thank you for your service in providing protection to the citizens in your care. You have touched the lives of many, directly and indirectly. You will be forever missed by your friends and your family. To your wife and children all I have to say is this: I know that the pain of his loss will never leave you. Take whatever solace you can in the beautiful memories you made together. You will always mourn him but in time when you remember all of that he was, and though you will shed tears, you'll smile while you do. To his children, it's okay to talk to your daddy. It's okay to tell him all on your mind. He's listening, and if you pay attention, he will answer you. And if he doesn't, don't despair. He is still listening. I lost my daddy when I was 12. I talked to him then and years later I still do. I'll be 27 this year and I know he is always watching me. And though I can't hold him while I cry, I know he's holding me though I cannot feel it. But deep into the the depths of my soul I know he is. I hope what words I give helps in some way. Even if a little. Just know that my words are not empty condolences. They came from a heart that truly cares. We don't know one another but I know a close friend to this fallen officer. And he grieves deeply for the loss of his friend.

Sergeant Morales,

Thank you for your service. You are now well and in the Presence of God.

To Your Family,

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for 2 years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.
