May god bless the loved ones of our fallen brother. Tpr Gleason may you be in a better place and watch over us with a smile while we carry on.

Trooper Chris Sweeney

It is sad to hear when a person so young has lost their life protecting others. We should do more to protect those who protect us. My prayers go out to the family of trooper Gleason.

Trooper David A. Sena

This is for one of my "great" friends. You never judged me, you just accepted me. You always had a kind word to say and were always there watching my back. You were my soulmate on the gridiron and my drinking buddy on the weekends and vacations home. Your presence will be missed but not forgotten...you've touched us all Larry and I'm a better person for having known you. Where ever you are, know that the love I had for you is still here. Your friend always,
RICK

Capt. Richard J. Crist

Another Grayrider has gone home to god. Those of us left to carry on will never forget your sacrifice. Rest in Peace Brother.

As a friend of Larry's, he will be missed very much. It is very sad to have a fellow brother in blue die in such a cowardly manner. God bless Larry and his family. To all other brothers, BE SAFE AND BE STRONG!

I knew Trooper Larry Gleason and worked with his cousin Kate Updyke (Gleason) when I worked at the Hornell Police Department. I have known Larry since he was little. I remember all of us pulling for him to get accepted to the NYSP academy and then his graduating and being home this summer as a proud Trooper. Larry's death was senseless and a shock to the heart to the whole community. Trooper Gleason was a quiet, good, sincere young man who will never be forgotten. My deepest sympathy goes out to Larry's family. He will be missed greatly. RIP Larry, your death came to soon, but you're in a better place now.

DEPUTY E. BELMAR
BEXAR COUNTY SO

To the family and friends of Trooper Gleason my sincerest sympathies and condolences. Another cowardly act that takes the life of a hero. May you find peace in the fact that he was doing what God called him to do, and he is with our Creator in a much better place.I never knew this site existed until a former co-worker (Billy Walls EOW 11-13-01) was shot and killed. I visit everyday and hope no more names are added, however, I realize there will always be evil, and it will always be the thin blue line responding...Thank you Trooper Gleason, rest now, your watch here is finished.

Officer J.V. Jackson
FCPS/Division of Law Enforcement Lexington, Kentucky

There is no pain greater than that of a mother who must bury her child. You wonder how your broken heart can go on beating. I know your pain! My precious son was only 29 when killed in the line of duty. I offer you my deepest sympathy, my prayers, and I hug you all with my heart.

Rest in peace, Trooper Gleason. Your watch is over now. May God bless your family and friends through this difficult time.

Friend

I hope this message of sympathy and prayer will help comfort the family and friends of a brave hero, Trooper Gleason. Officers in SC have suffered tremendously this year, as we have already lost four of our brothers to the evil of gunfire. Please know we are thinking about you and praying for you.....Blessed are the peacemakers, for they are the children of God. Be strong and the tears and pain shall lessen with each passing day.
Love and peace always for all my fellow law enforcement officers.

Thank you Tpr. Gleason for your service. You paid the ultimate price as so many have before you. I am going to be a trooper myself after college. I will keep you and your families in my prayers.
