Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Ryan Clinkunbroomer

RIP Clink, you will never be forgotten.

Dear Ryan:

The United States has had many, many heroes in our glorious history, and you sir, are among them. :Protect and serve", it's not a cliché that sounds corny to some, but rather, a code we in law enforcement live by everyday. To be taken away from us in such a cowardly way is unconscionable, despicable and evil. And that's what the bastard that did this is...evil. No more words about him will be spent here on this sacred site.

I am certain that this holiday season will be particularly painful for your family, especially when there is an empty chair at the dinner table. Rest in peace my brother, and thank you for your service. Our Thin Blue Line got thinner, but it will, as always, hold. I am confident that when you enetered the Gates of Heaven, our Lord greeted you with, "Welcome home Ryan."

Lake Mary Police, (Fl); Palm Beach Sheriff's Office, Retired

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families in our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a law enforcement family member, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. In Christ Jesus, Your beloved Son, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.
