So very sorry for the loss of another brother. God bless he, and prayers to the family. This is another sad time in law enforcement to lose a officer in the line of duty. We cops never know when it is our time to go to heaven. It is a touch time for police officers all over this nation.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Officer Garrett family, friends, and colleagues. Romans 13:1 reads "Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God." Like the suspect, most don't follow this command by God to respect secular authorities. I pray to that All of Officer Garrett's family find comfort in God's loving promise recorded at Revelation 21:3, 4 "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

VIOLENCE AND MURDER TAKE NO HOLIDAYS...
#every58hours
Dear Heavenly Father, we bow before you today grieving the loss of the Colorado Springs Officer Garrett Swasey, who died in the line of duty. We mourn the loss of this true hero from our midst who died while protecting our lives, our homes and our communities. Jesus says in the Bible, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his fellow man.” (John 15:13 NIV version) Garrett Swasey answered the call to a difficult and dangerous task and has shown his love and commitment in the finest tradition of American Law Enforcement for us and for this we are eternally grateful. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, Amen.

Police Officer Joseph P. Johnson, Ret., NYPD

May you rest in peace, and may your family find peace.

You and your fellow brothers and sisters who put on the badge each day keep me and my family safe, and protect our way of life.

You are true heroes - who act selflessly in defense of others. And it will never go unnoticed.

With gratitude, I will continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you, Officer.

Officer Swasey, Tonight I have a heartbroken daughter who remembers a man who not only taught her self defense at UCCS but took the time to mentor her and ..... just TALK to her when she was homesick. Thank you for not only serving in uniform....but for just taking time to be KIND to a young woman who was trying to adjust to life away from home for the first time. Kindness matters and we could use more of it in the world. May you rest in peace and may your precious memory light up the dark days that lie ahead for everyone who loves you.
