God Bless this officer's family during this tragic time. Our hearts and mind are heavy right now. I am a former Shreveport Police Officer and I always keep in touch with my Brothers in Blue from afar. I love each and every one of them and this hurts to hear one of my brothers gone too soon. God's mercy stretches the Universe across and his love is forever. Our strength, compassion and love for duty is the cord that binds us together. We must always uplift and hold up one another in prayer to be able to withstand the battles we face everyday. I am MyBrothersKeepr

Deeply sorrowful, I leave yet another reflection about a brave police officer killed by a cowardly enemy. I hope the community will show appreciation for the sacrifice Officer LaValley has made, and outrage for this violent attack. To the citizens of this community, I ask that you do your civic duty and punish this ruthless criminal for the brutal murder of this good man. With swift justice, sentence this murderer to the most severe penalty. Officer LaValley, may the memory of your service, heroism and sacrifice remain forever. May God bless you, your family and fellow officers in the Shreveport Police Department.
