My Spirit awoke to tears today...
as I remember your smile,
Your kiss on my face ,
How handsome you looked
in your uniform
As you turned & walked away
In such a Hurry you were,
To start your day

I look back in my heart to
on the day you were born.
So tiny ...
So pink ...
So warm in my Arms

Who would ever think
That you would growup
To be the Great Man you are
A Warrior ... A Great Leader ... A Hero

Well it's 12: 00 noon
And I need to get Dressed
Your Father will soon be back
And the Tears have made
My mascara run,
And I look like heck

I hope you like the flowers
We chose for your Special Day
You may recognize them
They are the ones You & father
picked for me, for my Special days ... Wild Flowers

On my Special days
You two made me Breakfast & tasty cakes
I made them also for you ,
Your Freinds ,
Your Fellow Officers,
Our Family,
And Special Guests

I am so proud of you
My only Son ...
Proud of the labor pains,
All the sleepless nights
When you were ill ... then I had to get up for work

You are the Gold, Silver & Dimonds
of my Heart
A gift from God for your Father & I
You are the Treasure of my memories
That on rainy days
I will seek ...
You are My "All in All"

It's 10 past 12:00 now
So I will sign off
Your Father is back
And we can't be late
Today is Your Home Coming ... in Heaven
It's time for your Wake

All My Love,
Mother
I am not Thomas 's Mother , but every mother has a parting
word for their children when they leave this world ... If
he were mine , it is what I would say.
RIP Thomas, Son of Valor, with Honor
Gone from Our Arms ... Forever in Our Hearts ...

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

Rest in peace Brother and my prayers go out to Officer LaValley's family and love ones with their loss. I know nothing can be said or written to lessen this loss and even time does not heal this wound. Something you can hold on to is the good times you had with your love one and that this young man's choice to be a police officer in speaks volumes of his character. This will test your faith, but know that God had a need for him now and that he is still with you and will watch over you.
