For Police Officer Robert Libke:

This incident exhibits the incredibly horrific situations that law-officers face whether they be part of the largest metropolitan police departments or the smallest. The potential for calamity is often complicated by a very senior actor who possesses a deadly threat or it can similarly involve the very young. Risk and jeopardy regrettably sometimes wear the faces of those we do not often expect. Reacting too quickly can bring about severe anguish and hesitation can bring about the tragedy in this situation. We regret that our brother Robert would be the next casualty of a precarious yet recurring incident.
We pray for Robert's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.
We are proud to render Officer Robert Libke, a noble soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsyylvania State Police
