My prayers are with this young man's family. Such a tragedy and loss of a young life that had so much more to give and live for. I pray the person who caused this selfish act, is brought to justice and is punished to the fullest extent of the law.

So young, and such a short career...it just doesn't seem fair. Rest in peace Officer Morris, your brothers and sisters have it from here. My prayers go out to your family and friends. May they find comfort knowing that you passed doing what you love, and in service to your community.

Officer Morris, I did not have the honor of knowing you personally but just from reading about your dedicated service and background - I already know you *Are* the exact model of the kind of Warrior & Police Officer we all strive to be. I speak of your service in the present tense rather than past because you'll always be 10-8. Even now, at this exact moment and time I have no doubt you are up in heaven watching over the rest of us. You're still on watch. Nothing has changed, just a different beat brother. Here's to you Officer Morris*

I'm still at a loss for words. I remember seeing you at the academy and thinking, "someone is gonna underestimate this guy and be in a world of trouble." You were always squared away and sharp. I remember watching you and the rest of 117 take their official Class A portrait right before graduation. Then I remember when my cruiser was vandalized and you showed up to take the report. We laughed at the damage... who spray paints a smiley face on the back of a cruiser?? Really... lol smh. I would've never thought in a million years that I would be preparing my Class A's for your funeral. Words can't express the amount of hurt I feel right now or the amount of gratitude I have. You served this County with pride way before you ever earned that badge. You are a true example of what every officer should strive to be.

Take your rest brother... we have the watch.
