My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Morris, his family and friends, and the men and women of the Prince George's County Police Department -- my first police family. The profound sadness we share binds us together and will help us through this tragic event. May God give Adrian his well-earned wings and may he watch over all the brothers and sisters in blue he left behind.

As a fellow law enforcement officer and former police explorer this really hurts to hear of yet another loss to our law enforcement community. It is my hope the suspect is caught and swiftly brought to justice. From reading the summary it leaves me to believe that Officer A. Morris wasn't wearing his seat belt as he was ejected. Fellow Officers, Deputies, Troopers, Agents, etc., our job is dangerous enough. Please wear your seat belts and be careful out there.

My thoughts and prayers will be with Officer Morris, the family, and agency.

God full of mercy who dwells on high
Grant perfect rest on the wings of Your Divine Presence
In the lofty heights of the holy and pure
who shine as the brightness of the heavens
to the soul of Adrian Morris
who has gone to his eternal rest.

His resting place shall be in the Garden of Eden
Therefore; the Master of mercy will care for him
under the protection of His wings for all time
And bind his soul in the bond of everlasting life.
God is his inheritance and he will rest in peace
and let us say AMEN.
