I was just watching Brian Williams on NBC News when I learned of the story of your last act of kindness to a young man short on funds at a local McDonalds. Turns out the event was captured on the restaurants security camera. Reminds me of the song "Only The Good Die Young". Rest In Peace.

God Bless you Officer Henwood.

RIP.

You will NEVER be forgotten.

You gave everything to your country and to the citizen's of San Diego and we are grateful. Your parents raised a fine son and they should be very proud.

YOU ARE A TRUE HERO SIR, IN EVERY WAY.

Some people wonder why someone would want to be a police officer. Many people wonder why someone whould risk their life and their health for very little thanks and very little money. Our society tells us that millionaire actors and professional athletes are "heros". Not true. Police officers are are the real HEROS.

Our society values money and selfishness above all else. Unless you are married to a police officer or come from a police family, you never really understaned the dynamics of the job. The overnight shifts, the holiday shifts, the stress, the missed birthday's, the unspeakable things that you see that you don't want to talk about. It takes a very special person to do this job. Thank God there are some who answer the call.

God Speed Jeremy. Your watch here is over.

Rest in Peace Angel in Blue.

Thank you for your commitment in keeping our city safe. Thank you for your service to our nation. Thank you for reminding us that yes there is great integrity in our police department. In this time of great sadness I hope his family knows what he meant to all of us that did not even know him. He is part of everyone's family now. We will not forget him or what he did for all of us. I pray for his family and for the family in blue that you all will find some peace in the memory of Officer Jeremy Henwood. The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God. ~Quoted in The Angels' Little Instruction Book. May these reflections help you find comfort in knowing that he touched many lives directly and indirectly.

Sir,
My sincere heartfelt condolences to your family, friends, and anyone who is mourning your loss...such a tragedy and such unfairness... You protected all of us by serving overseas and you protected the citizens in the community by patrolling the streets. Thank you and God Bless everyone who is left behind fighting the never ending war, both overseas and here in our country.
