Reflections for Deputy Sheriff James Louis Anderson, Jr.

Best zone partner a cop could ask for, still can’t look at this without crying. Love you and miss you bro

Hey James. Still missing you down here, but I know you are up there watching over the rest of us. You and I shared things as we were brothers on so many levels. First, you and I are brothers because both you and I earned the title of United States Marine. Second, you and I were brothers at two different agencies (Putnam County SO and St. Johns County SO) in law enforcement fighting the good fight. In both of these endeavors, you and I fought for those who could not fight for themselves or were wronged in some way. Lastly, you and I were brothers on this planet. You are no longer here in person, but I know you are still around in spirit and in my memories. Still missing you, but I will see you again some day.

James, ten years have passed since the night you died and, while I'm a decade older, I remember it like yesterday. Your sacrifice certainly left an impression on me at my young age and at the start of my life in public service. Your death shaped the officer I became, and I feel I have left a positive impact on my agencies, community, and co-workers since then. I have arrested hundreds of drunk drivers this past decade, each one in your name, and I honestly believe I have saved lives because of it.

I wish your family peace, I extend them my deepest sympathies, and send you the love of my family and myself. You will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, brother.

I was on James Face book page, but for some reason I can no longer get to it. I was a friend. I meet James at Fire Station 10, St Johns County Rescue, Ponte Vedra Beach, fL.. I was a volunteer fire fighter for St. Johns. when I worked James would always come by the station just to say hello. Great guy. I saw him about a week before we lost him. He was a great guy. We miss you James. I have since retired. I worked with Capt. Rick Casto, B shift, ST. 10, St. Johns County Fire Rescue.
