To the Family of Corporal Mike Roberts, and
My Brothers and Sisters at the Tampa Police Department,

In John 15:13, The Bible says, “No greater love hath a man than to lay down his life for another.” Cpl Roberts has proven his love for his fellow man by laying down his life to protect us all from evil.

Cpl Roberts: Rest in Peace brother, we have the watch now. The "Thin Blue Line" gets a little thinner with each loss, but we will stay the course.

We here at the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office lost two of our brothers in April of this year, and a third brother just over a year ago. Having just experienced the pain and anguish you are all feeling now, I know there are no words that can ease your pain.

You are all in my prayers and I pray God will grant you peace.

Lt. Ken Christmas
Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office

May your family and fellow officers find comfort in this most difficult time. Although, I did not personally know you, my heart sank as I was learning of these tragic events. You placed yourself in harms way, so that others could benefit from the protection you provided. Tampa and the entire law enforcement community has truely lost a great public servant.

My heart goes out to your wife and son.
