Every night before hitting the road we huddle in the rear parking lot before we load up our patrol vehicle. It's our time to bs a little before getting our head in the game. We might talk about where we are going to grab our next drink for over our break or where to play our next 18 holes of golf. Even though we all know that something could happen to anyone of us while we are out there we never talk about it. It's almost like that while we are in that back parking lot we are untouchable to the elements or we just try not to think about it. Those of you that do what we do know what I mean. Cpl. Roberts will now join all of us while we are in the rear lot. He will be out there while we do our job. That next traffic stop we make or the next door we knock on he will be there to back us up. Our thoughts and prayers will be with his family and friends that knew him.
