Though I never met or knew Cpl. Roberts, I feel as if my best friend has been killed. It is never easy when a fellow LEO is killed, especially in this fashion. My prayers, as well as my extended familes are being said for Mike and his family.

St. Michael the Archangel, Police Officer's Prayer:

Dear Lord, be with me when I am on duty this day and every day.

Let me be kindly to the old, and to the young be strong; but let me triumph over those whose acts are cruel or wrong.

Lord, when my own last summons comes and I stand in your court, may my rest with you be long and my punishment be short. Amen

RIP brother and watch over us as we continue the good fight!

HCSO

Corporal Roberts, I know many Tampa Police Officers. They are some of the finest people I have had the pleasure of working with. I called them when I heard of your passing. All of them said what a great guy you were. Coming from that quality of folks, quite a compliment. My thoughts are with your family. Rest in peace brother.

Mike,

It took my breath away last night when I got a phone call from a friend that said we had an Officer down. Then I learned it was you and I drove to the hospital praying that you would be alright.

You and Katie were such good friends and I was looking forward to having you as a guest in our wedding in November becuase you would have made me laugh.

We miss you so much and I feel for your wife, Cindy and your 3 year old son, Adam. I can't imagine having to tell your son that Daddy is gone...

I'll see you again sometime big guy!

Love Alex and Katie
