Reflections for Police Officer John Pawlowski

To Officer John Pawlowski,
We will never forget your heroic service. May the good
Lord bless you for all eternity and bring comfort to the
dear family you leave behind. May we all be inspired
by your memory, to love and serve one another. You and
your fellow officers make it possible for the rest of us
to live our lives in freedom and safety, and we owe you
a debt we can never repay. Rest in peace as you go on to
glory and hear the Father declare, "Well done, good and
faithful servant!"

My condolences go out to this young officers family, friends and the PPD RIP Brother.

Oh Almighty God, whose great power and eternal wisdom embraces the universe. Watch over all policemen and law enforcement officers. Protect them from harm in the performance of their duty to stop evil and those who seek to do us harm. Help them keep our streets and homes safe by day and night.

I recommend them to your loving care because their duty is dangerous. Grant them your unending strength and courage in their daily assignments. Protect these brave men and grant them your almighty protection. Unite them safely with their families after duty ends.
Amen

Godspeed brother, Rest In Peace, We got it from here. Watch over us on your tour of duty on the streets of heaven.

The policeman stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, policeman.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my church have you been true?"

The policeman squared his shoulders and said,
"No lord, I guess I ain't,
because those of us who carry a badge
can't always be a saint."

I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent,
because the streets are awfully tough.

But I never took a penny,
that wasn't mine to keep
though I worked a lot of overtime
when the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
though at time I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place
among the people here.
They never wanted me around
except to calm their fear.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't I'll understand.

There was a silence all around the throne
where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
for the judgment of his god.

"Step forward now, policeman,
you’ve born your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
you’ve done your time in hell"
