John,
The PPD has got to be one of the strongest departments in the nation in one of the roughest cities. The Philadelphia PD has lost it's fair share of officers and then some. You folks are brave and strong.

Godspeed brother!

I remember being under lockdown at my school when officer Cassidy was shot back in October of 2007. Since then Philadelphia has seen 6 more officers killed in the line of duty including officer Pawlowski. Its sickening the lack of humanity, decency, and respect that exists in some members of this city. Thank you for your service and my heart goes out to the Pawlowski family.

There are no words that can express the sorrow your loss has created for your family and friends. May you rest in peace.

You were a great cop who died doing what you loved. I know how proud you were to follow your father and brother into the police department. How proud they were of you. You will be sadly missed by all who know and love you.

I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to the family of Officer John Pawlowski. I am a relative of an officer who was lost in the line of duty and the brother-in-law of a Philadelphia Police Officer and I know the horror you must be going through right now. It is heroes like this that make the world a better place for us and our families. His bravery and memory will live on forever. Please all the Officers out there may God bless you and keep you safe.

Officer Pawlowski, words cannot truly express the sadness and sorrow overshadowed by the awe of your selfless and courageous attitude felt by your brothers and sisters in blue here in Pennsylvania. You are a hero and please rest assured that we will carry on the fight. We will remain steady, strong and resilient in the unbreakable thin line between good and evil. God bless you Officer Pawlowski, your family and our brothers and sisters of the Philadelphia Police Department.
