Rest easy friend, we'll take it from here.

TBalls,

Over the past several years that I have been under your wing as a police explorer I have learned how to deal with hardships. However, I cannot even begin to describe the pain that I have now. I never thought this day would come. People tell me that everything is going to be ok but I just wonder how that is possible. I really never told you that you were like a father, a brother, and a great friend. The past several years have been the best years of my life. What you have taught me is something that no one will ever be able to take away from me and something that I will never let go. You sir are a HERO. If I could have one last chance to talk to you I would first probably start off with a joke in which you would try to put me down, but then I want to tell you how much you really impacted my life. Why am I so interested in law enforcement and why am I still in school? These questions, which you know, can be answered by you. You were the one who kept my interest and the one who told me that you wanted to work side-by-side with me, of course eat el Indio with Jim and myself. What happened? Your family is in my prayers. I am having a hard time with this, as many are, but am troubled with the decision to go to the funeral service. I do not know if I can take more grief. I just want things to go back to the way they were.

Tom was my college roommate and I was stunned to find this news out. We spent many a night chatting and cracking each other up. He was a light in the world and while we had gone our separate ways, I look forward to cracking a joke with Tom in Heaven.

Tom - I will watch the movie we loved in honor of you. May God smile as you make Him laugh.

May His peace be with your family at this time of insanity and thank you so much for all the fun we had.

T Balls,

After meeting you at the local area academy I knew you were a great guy and a great officer. You kept it fun for the level ones, and I will use the self defense and pressure point training you taught us when I get on. Thank you for doing your job, and in the process becoming a hero.

This so sickens and enrages me, the loss of two fine officers at the hands of a cowardly assassin who attacks a government meeting and kills unarmed citizens. My sincerest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of these fine officers.

Your sacrifice will never be forgotten brother, not now or ever. Rest easy, we have the watch from here.
