It always pains me to find out another fine man or woman has fallen in the line of duty. My pain was bigger this morning when I found out about Special Agent David Wieger and his friends. To his family and friends, may the Lord keep you in the palm of His hand while you travel this life without his physical presence. Now he will be with you in spirit without leaving you for an instant.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dave,
The last thing you said on the phone to me was, "If an IED had my name on it, then it's my time to go. And I'll go proudly serving the Air Force, and serving AFOSI. I love my job, and I'll die happy knowing I'm serving my country." That phone call was a few days before you left us.

I take great pride knowing you felt this way. You are a true American hero. LYMY, MF
