First we lose Officer Holly, then Officer Cortez, now another dedicated officer is gone today. Being a Deputy or Police Officer has become even more dangerous. This being the most deadly year for all Police Officers, I pray for you, your family and all other officers. May you rest in peace.

A Cop died today.
Just a good man, doing a thankless job.
A man who kissed his family goodbye each day,
not knowing it would be his last.
An Everyday Hero, donning his badge and gun.
Tho invisible, he wore a white hat as well.
He was one of the 'Good Guys'.
He was not so different from the rest of us,
Yet he was more than we ever will be.

Godspeed, Officer Erfle

"A coward turns away, but a brave man's choice is danger."

While this quote describes all law enforcement, it is particularly appropriate here. This warrior ran to the sounds of battle while others ran away. He is a true hero and I salute him for his life and honor him for his sacrifice.

Sergeant T. E. Murphy
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Fl.
