Rest In Peace My Brother! Though I did not know you I still feel the pain of your passing. You wanted to serve a power higher than yourself and you did. You will not be forgotten and I know the outstanding officers of the St. Louis Police Department will not rest until the coward whom you faced is found. God bless your family and may they find peace...

"A Part of America Died"

Somebody killed a policeman today,
and a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect,
will be buried with him at his side.

The suspect that shot him will stand up in court,
with counsel demanding his rights.
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids,
and spend many long, lonely nights.

The beat that he walked was a battle field too,
just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
to his name they will add a gold star.

Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
a cop put his life on the line.

Now his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
and he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call, of himself gave his all,
and a part of America died.

Officer Brown,

May you find peace and rest. Your earthly watch has ended. You have now been called home for a 'higher' service. At the last day you will join your brother officers who have gone before you and made the ultimate sacrifice and have life eternal in Heaven.

To Officer Brown's parents, your son was brave and courageous in his mission to protect our city in the words of scripture 2 Timothy; he has fought the good fight, he has finished the race...
God is with you, holding you in His arms as you grieve the not only the loss of a son but a beloved family member. The entire St. Louis Law Enforcement community grieves with you. Hold closely and dearly his memory in your hearts. God Bless you.

Officer Brown, May GOD have mercy on your soul. Rest in Peace, for you will never be forgotten. It's sad that your life was taken so young, and so early in your career, but rest easy in knowing that even though the person who did this has not been caught, and may never be caught, he will have to face judgement at the gates of heaven when his number is called.
